1. Who we are

London Trade School is a trading name for practical trade-skills courses delivered in East London. When we say "we", "us" or "LTS" throughout these terms, that is who we mean.

2. Booking and payment

To secure your place on any course you will need to pay a £97 deposit at the time of booking. The remaining £500 balance is due no later than 7 days before your course start date.

If the balance is not received by this deadline, we reserve the right to release your place to another student. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

3. What the course is — and isn't

Our courses are designed to teach you practical, hands-on trade skills in a workshop environment. On successful completion you will receive a Certificate of Attendance and, where applicable, CPD (Continuing Professional Development) credits.

Our courses are not NVQ, City & Guilds, or any other nationally recognised qualification. They do not entitle you to carry out regulated work (such as gas or electrical work) without the appropriate accreditation from the relevant governing body.

4. Your responsibilities as a student

By enrolling on a course, you agree to the following:

• You will follow all safety instructions given by your instructor at all times.
• You will wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed. Basic PPE is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
• You will disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or disabilities that may affect your ability to participate safely.
• You will not attend the course under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• You will treat fellow students, instructors, and staff with respect at all times.
• Any work you undertake after the course is your own responsibility. London Trade School is not liable for the quality or safety of work carried out by former students.

5. Refund policy

We want to be fair. Here is how refunds work:

• More than 14 days before the course: Full refund of all monies paid, no questions asked.
• Less than 14 days before the course: No refund, but you may transfer your booking to a future date (subject to availability) or nominate another person to attend in your place.
• No-shows: If you do not attend and have not notified us, all fees are forfeited.
• If we cancel the course: You will receive a full refund within 7 working days, or you may transfer to the next available date at no extra cost.

6. Liability

London Trade School holds public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance appropriate to the activities we deliver.

By attending a course, you acknowledge that working with tools and materials carries an inherent risk of injury. You agree to follow all safety protocols to minimise that risk.

Our total liability to you in connection with any course shall not exceed the total fees you have paid for that course.

7. Photography and content

We may take photographs and videos during courses for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials. If you would prefer not to be included, please let your instructor know on Day 1 and we will make sure you are excluded.

8. Code of conduct

We reserve the right to remove any student from a course without refund if their behaviour:

• Endangers themselves or others.
• Constitutes harassment, discrimination, or bullying of any kind.
• Involves theft of tools, materials, or personal property.
• Causes deliberate damage to equipment, facilities, or the premises.

9. Intellectual property

All course materials — including handouts, slides, videos, and digital resources — remain the intellectual property of London Trade School. You may not reproduce, distribute, or resell any materials without our written permission.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
