Terms & Conditions.

1. Who we are

London Trade School is a trading name operating in East London, UK. We provide intensive trade skills training courses. Contact: hello@londontradeschool.co.uk.

2. Booking and payment

When you book a course, you pay a £97 non-refundable deposit (subject to the refund policy below) to secure your seat. The remaining course balance of £400 is due 7 days before the course start date. We will email you a payment link automatically.

If you fail to pay the balance by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and offer your seat to someone else. Your deposit will not be refunded in this case.

3. What the course is — and isn't

London Trade School courses are practical skills training courses. On successful completion you receive a Certificate of Attendance / Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

This is not a formal qualification. It is not an NVQ, City & Guilds, or any other regulated qualification. We do not certify you as a competent tradesperson for the purposes of UK building regulations or trade body registration. We do not assess or guarantee your professional competence.

For regulated work (gas, certain electrical work, etc.) you will need separate formal qualifications. We cover the relevant pathways on Day 5 of our courses.

4. Your responsibilities as a student

By attending a London Trade School course, you agree:

• To follow all safety instructions given by the trainer at all times
• To wear any PPE provided (gloves, eye protection, etc.) when instructed
• To inform the trainer of any medical conditions or disabilities that may affect your safety
• Not to attend if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• To treat fellow students, trainers, and venue staff with respect
• That any work you undertake professionally after the course is your own responsibility, including obtaining your own insurance, complying with relevant regulations, and ensuring your own competence

5. Refund policy

If you cancel:

• More than 14 days before the course start date: full refund of deposit and any balance paid
• Within 14 days of the course start date: your deposit (or balance paid) can be transferred to any future cohort within 12 months — no cash refund
• No-shows on the first day without prior notice forfeit the full course fee

If we cancel:

• If we cancel a cohort for any reason (insufficient bookings, trainer illness, venue issues, etc.), you will receive a full refund of all monies paid, or the option to transfer to a future cohort with priority booking
• We will provide as much notice as practicable

We are not liable for any associated costs you may incur (travel, accommodation, time off work) in the event of cancellation by either party.

6. Liability

London Trade School carries public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance. We take safety seriously and conduct written risk assessments.

However, all trade work carries inherent risk. By attending you acknowledge this risk and agree that London Trade School's liability is limited to the cost of the course paid. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses (loss of earnings, etc.).

We are not liable for any claims, losses, or damages arising from work you undertake after the course, whether paid or unpaid.

7. Photography and content

We may take photos and short videos during the course for use in our marketing materials, including social media. By attending you consent to this. If you do not wish to appear in any content, please tell the trainer on Day 1 and we will accommodate this.

8. Code of conduct

We reserve the right to remove any student from the course without refund for:

• Behaviour that endangers themselves or others
• Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of fellow students or staff
• Theft of tools, materials, or property
• Wilful damage to the venue or equipment

9. Intellectual property

All course materials (handbooks, pricing playbooks, templates, video content) remain the intellectual property of London Trade School. You may use them for your personal benefit but may not reproduce or resell them.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version applicable to your booking is the one published on this page at the time you paid your deposit.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
